Children’s Liturgy

Children’s Liturgy is a modified form of the Sunday mass Liturgy of the Word, wherein the gospel of the day is considered by the children and related to their life and behaviour.

A Children’s liturgy service is held every Sunday during the 9.30 am mass. It runs during the term time and led by volunteers from the Parish. Children participate in an activity in the Parish centre and then return to join the congregation at the offertory procession. All children are welcome, as are parents. Ages range from toddlers through to Upper Primary.

The highlight of the Children’s liturgy program is the Christmas Eve Service where children are encouraged to dress up as angels or shepherds and be part of the Nativity play.

For further information, please contact the Parish. We are always looking for volunteers and we can assist you with resources to run the activity as well as in obtaining a Working with Children card.
